Which innovation from the North of The Netherlands can cause the green industrial revolution? The Northern Enlightenmentz election is looking for promising innovations. This year SoluForce is one of the finalists together with Groningen Seaports. The winner will be announced during the Eemsdeltavision conference on 17 October in Delfzijl.
The aim of the election is to inspire the northern provinces of the Netherlands in the application of promising innovations and to give the participating companies a boost.
Project SoluForce - Groningen Seaports
Groningen Seaports and SoluForce are going to build an infrastructure for the transport of green hydrogen in Delfzijl and the Eemshaven. In the first phase, four kilometers of SoluForce infrastructure will be constructed. The goal is to complete the infrastructure within a year. The use of SoluForce Flexible Composite Pipes is a major innovation, because they are ideally suited for hydrogen transportation and can significantly reduce costs for both procurement and construction.
SoluForce will supply the Gas Tight pipes for the plans in the Eemsdelta. Hydrogen can provide an important solution for fluctuations in the green energy supply. Electricity from windmills can be converted and stored as hydrogen. Hydrogen can in turn be converted into raw material or fuel for various chemical and industrial companies.
