Sustainability of the environment is central to the world of plastic pipe technology. Conscious of the many groups that we serve, SoluForce propagates CSR in all our activities around the world. We take responsibility for the impact of our activities on the environment, customers, employees, and all other stakeholders in the public sphere.
As the originator and technological leader in the research, development, manufacture, supply and installation of Flexible Composite Pipes (FCP) systems, SoluForce plays a leading role in the environmental policy of FCP systems. This focus on our products extends over the entire life cycle, from raw material to production and distribution, to end of life and recycling.
Our innovation programm, which continues to evolve throughout the organisation, is further fueled by ideas from our employees to improve excisting products and services. Our employees are essential to the success of SoluForce, which is why we create a safe, healthy and productive working environment. Their effort and expertise are highly appreciated.
We have measured our key environmental objectives since 2010. Since then, we have significantly improved our efforts to reach our environmental objectives. For example, between 2010 and 2020 we have reduced our CO2 emissions by 39.6%, while our total energy consumption was also significantly reduced. Furthermore, in 2020 the Pipelife factory in The Netherlands (where the SoluForce system is produced) was fitted with solar panels and in 2021 all the energy used by Pipelife Nederland is from green and sustainable sources. New CSR projects are continually developed and implemented and we stimulate our employees to create a process oriented working environment in which objectives and innovation take a clear and inspiring role. A recent example of this is a project to capture waste heat from production through a heat exchanger and reused this energy to heat up the Pipelife facilities. All to make sure that we are able to reach our CSR objectives.
Furthermore, production, logistics, installation and usage of the SoluForce system has a 75% lower CO2 footprint compared to alternatives.
An important part of our strategy is actively pursuing our reduction objectives. Good progress has been made so far in achieving these goals. Emissions of CO2 and water consumption have been reduced and significant efforts are currently made to further reduce our consumption. By motivating our employees and paying sufficient attention to new initiatives, we strive to achieve our objectives.
